While one recording of Ms Wandelt's recordings with Mrs McCann's answerphone stated: "Imagine there is a slight possibility that I'm her? Then what? Is that not crucial for you?"

"I do not need money, I have a living here in Poland, I simply desire to know," the recording stated.

The jury was advised that by means of electronic messages, mobile messages and calls, Ms Wandelt asked for a genetic test, forwarded youth pictures to her phone in a attempt to demonstrate a likeness to Mrs McCann's missing daughter, and stated to have "recollections" from a early life with the McCanns.

That day Ms Wandelt left a recording on Mrs McCann's voicemail saying "I won't give up and I intend to demonstrate my claim."
